Plug connectors
We offer various connectors.
In addition to our customised cable assemblies, we also offer various raw materials. You are also welcome to enquire about loose parts such as connectors, contacts, cables by the metre and cable accessories. We use a large selection of different manufacturers, especially for plug-in connections.
The right plug for your connection
When it comes to plug connections, everything revolves around the grid dimension. The following guiding principle applies here: “The higher the power, the greater the distance”.
The following rule of thumb is also helpful for PCB plug connections:
- 12V to3,81mm
- 230V from 5,00mm Raster
- 600V from 7,50mm Raster
Nowadays, RAST connectors are indispensable. With this introduction, the components could be standardised and the conformity of connectors from a wide range of manufacturers could be guaranteed. Errors in the production process due to incorrectly assembled connectors have also been significantly minimised.
Screw connections
Screw connections are also very popular, as the customer can simply intervene afterwards. It is important not to have any loose strands in contact with the screw; ferrules are essential here. However, a direct screw connection is possible with rigid strands. IIn our production, every screw is tightened with an electric torque wrench, which is checked annually. In addition to this connection, we also offer the matching sheathed cable.
Spring-loaded connection
The customer can also add the spring-cage connection afterwards. These are usually or almost always used with a ferrule. Another advantage is the permanent tension on the wire, which means you don’t have to retighten the screw yourself. We have our own designed quick-clamping device in our production facility.
Crimp connections
Crimp connections are significantly faster to assemble and a smaller pitch is possible compared to other plug connections. We are happy to manufacture your crimp connection with our individual strands.
Insulation displacement connector
In addition, thousands of insulation displacement connectors on original moulds are processed annually in our production on three Lumberg semi-automatic machines. Fast assembly and a smaller pitch are also possible here.
